Susan hooked the gaff strop onto the mast traveller before hoisting sail. Can anyone expand on the details. Would a rope-loop (?grommet) do as well as a metal-loop traveller up and down the mast. I'm building a replica of Swallow and will soon need to assemble the spar fittings.
